Is Jacob The Jeweler the most influential watchmen in street culture? It sure seems that way! Let’s travel back in time to when rims and neck chains were filling up the freshly colorful hip-hop genre. Approximately every other music artist and fashion mogul sported a JACOB & CO. '5 TIME ZONE' from their collection, in the early 2000s. A Jacob watch stood as a staple in the game and could have been considered as necessary as having your music label chain dangling in the air during an editorial shoot. Apart from the everlasting Rolex, Patek, and AP timepieces, Jacob & Co. was THAT brand we knew little about, but it was exploited all over the scene.
Fast forward to present time and Jacob & Co. is still gifting out collaborations and watches. Not too long ago, the brand collaborated with Highsnobity on a limited edition capsule. Soon after, we were reporting on the new Jacob & Co. x Khabib Nurmagomedov, Epic X Chronograph release [BOND MOLT - NEWS]. Plenty of time Drake has shown off his custom made roulette table timepiece by Jacob. It seems Jacob is still running his own race and continuing the reign as top jewelry maker for non-white collar professionals.
